Depot Cafe in Cape May

I grew up in Cape May then moved away, I returned for my wedding and cannot thank the Depot enough!! The Depot customized the exact catering menu we requested and delivered to 3 different houses with a total of 50 people (2 bridal parties and visiting family). They delivered at the exact time we needed and everything was so smooth plus everyone was fed and quite happy. The quality was exceptional and I will be forever grateful that that was something I didn’t need to worry about that day! Cannot recommend this place and their food enough, delicious!! Do yourself a favor and try the cheesecake too! I ordered a whole one for my New York groom’s cake and he was very impressed!! Our family cleaned their plates :)

Eating a cheesesteak at the Depot Cafe as I write this... And i NEVER write reviews! I'm from right outside of Philly and this is the best steak I've ever had. The meat is so tender and the guys working here are really nice. Will definitely be back!!

Great breakfast burger on brioche bun with bacon and egg. Burger was top quality meat, nicely cooked. Salad was pre-made but fresh and delicious. Friendly staff, outdoor seating with shade. This place is a little off the beaten track but the bonus is it's not crowded like the downtown spots in Cape May. I'll be back!

Great place, friendly staff and excellent food!!

American comfort food in a spacious environment. My breakfast burger had a somewhat dry patty, but the truffle fries (dare I say the truffliest of truffle fries that my taste buds have experienced) made up for it. Ample parking and outdoor seating is available, and as opposed to the google description, they do in fact accept credit cards here.

Amazing Cuban sandwich

Food and service was superb. We got the Bavarian pretzel which was massive and the oatmeal stout infused cheese sauce was fantastic. For the main course I had the spicy mac and cheese and topped it with bbq pulled pork, which they had on special. My husband ordered the Elvis burger. It was a burger with cape may peanut butter, and topped with bacon on a fresh bun. If you're open to new things you will love this place.

Great sandwiches We stopped here to get sandwiches to take on the bus home. Great little place, food on the front porch and on the side patio. I would have liked to have had time to try the Cuban supper. The avocado salad is a best seller. Great food, good prices and friendly people with music on the patio. A great combination!

Went to the Depot and had a cheese steak with there home made cheese sauce. I didn't know what to expect but I was not disappointed. The fries were great as well. I especially loved the railroad theme and the historical items throughout with explanations to each. The staff was friendly and nice to talk with.

Got lunch here on the way in for a beach day; had a cheeseburger - the Californian, and plain fries. All were very good, portions are generous, the decor is cute and service was very good 😊 would go again if I’m in the area.

Went over for a burger and fries for lunch on vacation here from Pennsylvania ,first of all the food I would say is subpar the atmosphere is ok but needing more very small seating area nice selection of drinks but food was to need improvement the burger I ordered was the 2 patty burger it seemed to have to much spice in the burger which really took away any flavor of the beef patty in my opinion and the meat in the patty was not that high quality I could get a better burger at five guys with much better beef , next the fries were ok but could use a little salt other then that it was any ok place .

Just a quite little place. Nothing fancy. Burgers are amazing!!! You could tell the we’re made in house. The girl who took our order and brought our food was very nice and attentive. More of a lunch spot then dinner. Would return.

The menu isn't very specific/direct and the food is definitely on the bland side. The prices aren't great for the quality of the food. They used to be awesome. I just don't know what happened.

The Depot, Cape May, NJ. I like the Depot. Very nice young man. They seem willing to collaborate on a sandwich idea. We were on the adventure so we stuck with the Cheesesteak and got the cheesesteak made their way with their homemade cheese sauce. I liked the cheese sauce. The Amigos had conflicting opinions of the cheese sauce. It was a bit pricey at $13.50. Cash only. Spoiler Alert; It is the winner of the first Philadelphia Cheesesteak Adventure Cape May Cheesesteak SmackDown.

Super friendly staff and good breakfast sandwiches. Got the French bulldog, and was very happy with that choice. The staff was also friendly to our dog.

My favorite order is their egg and cheese bagels! Their homemade cheese sauce is also amazing! I love going here for a quick bite that doesn’t sacrifice quality of food and service.

Friendly employees, food was delicious but for $8.50, a pork roll and cheese burger should come with at least a pickle and a small bag of chips for something. Three slices of pork roll and cheese on a ciabatta bun isn’t worth $8.

Love love love The Depot! Everything made fresh right there! Best chicken cheesesteak made from real chicken breast and cheesesteak from real steak not frozen processed garbage! And OMG the Sweet Potato Fries are addictive! They're homemade cheese sauce is also insanely delicious! Ok now I'm hungry again!

The chicken and waffle taco was delicious! A very clean and friendly place. Many burger, sandwich, and even Mac n cheese options! Recommend if you’re down in Cape May and are looking for a quaint and quick lunch stop!

My first time at this restaurant has been amazing, soon as my husband and I walked through the door the employee's here were so nice and friendly, made us feel very comfortable. We came here based on the reviews and I must say the food is so DELICIOUS!! we had loaded sweet potato fries with Asian dressing, that had to be by far the best I've had, we also got the cheese steak which also was delicious, the meat was very tender and juicy and the cheese sauce put that cherry on top.....we will definitely be back 😁 sincerely a very satisfied and happy customer
